Conceptualization

The first step in the process is to define clear objectives and the scope of work for the
project. It is important for us to take a deep dive into your idea and learn as much as possible
about your product and industry.

  • Are you looking for only CAD data and drawings or are you interested in receiving a
    turnkey production solution?
  •  What are your needs and what are your wants?
  •  What does your product look like when the process is complete?

Product Design

This is where your product starts to come to life. We take napkin sketches and turn them
into 3D models and drawings.

Deliverables from this phase:

  • Photorealistic renderings – use these life-like, CAD based photos to market your
product while it is still in the development phase
  •  3D models – CAD models delivered in a variety of formats
  • Engineering drawings – use these drawings to convey design intent to
potential vendors and/or build your first prototype

Prototyping

Upon completion of this step, you will be able to hold, touch, and feel a representation of
your final design. This is a useful step to solve any unforeseen issues with the design and
find solutions for them before the investment is made to move to production.

Deliverables from this phase:

  • Physical samples of your product produced in the method of your choosing
(3D printing, CNC machining, prototype casting/molding, etc.)
  •  All models, drawings, and supporting materials detailed in previous steps

Design Verification

Using everything we have learned thus far following our proven process, we now can
optimize the design and prepare it for manufacturing. It is vitally important to consider
manufacturability in this step as decisions made here will impact cost, lead times, and
quality control when your product moves to production.

Deliverables from this phase:

  • Finalized CAD models and production ready engineering drawings
  •  Product packaging design optimized for each individual product
  • Tooling and fixture design that you will need to produce your product
  •  Recommendations for vendor selection
